Hollywood's biggest night has finally arrived.
Though the 93rd annual Academy Awards ceremony was originally postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, the Oscars are back tonight—albeit on a much smaller scale.
"It's not going to be like anything that's been done before, so we're leaning into that," said Steven Soderbergh, one of the ceremony's producers, in a prior press conference. Stacey Sher, another producer, added, "It's not a traditional (Oscar) red carpet, it's a teeny-tiny red carpet. It's a very small footprint for safety reasons, obviously."
Nevertheless, Hollywood veterans and newcomers are bringing their A game to the red carpet.
