All the New York Liberty Tunnel Looks From Opening Day
Let the games begin
This season, the most electric fashion moment in New York isn’t happening under runway lights, it’s unfolding in the concrete tunnel beneath Barclays Center.
For the New York Liberty’s Opening Day, the team made sure to make a fashion-forward entrance that set the tone for both on the court and off. Long embraced by WNBA players as a space for sartorial self-expression, the tunnel has evolved into something deeply personal. Each player’s look felt thoughtfully curated and kicked off the season with a bang.
Sabrina Ionescu brought sharp tailoring with a sleek edge, wearing a three-piece white suit composed of a vest, pants, and blazer. Jonquel Jones opted for a slightly oversized silhouette, pairing a denim short-sleeve jacket with a white shirt and black tie.
Then there was Breanna Stewart, who made it a point to set the tone. Just weeks after attending the Met Gala, she stepped out in a custom Romeo Hunte denim suit. The structured yet offbeat ensemble was effortlessly cool and perfectly suited for the moment.
“After the Met, it felt right to keep celebrating fashion in a way that feels true to me and to New York,” Stewart told Harper’s Bazaar. “Romeo’s denim suit was the perfect fit — cool, a little unexpected, and full of personality. I love that his work pushes boundaries but still feels grounded. That’s the energy I wanted walking into Opening Day.”
