As lockdown orders begin to lift across the globe, companies are more than ready to open their doors. The coronavirus outbreak has caused a steep decline in profits across disparate industries, many of which rely on foot traffic to sustain their businesses. And though pivoting to e-commerce platforms has been a way to weather the virus, having a brick-and-mortar presence at key locations is still valuable.
By many accounts, the masses are longing to step outdoors and purchase products in-person rather than through a screen—and stores are eagerly waiting to service them. Full disclosure: We’re certainly one those itching to step into a brick-and-mortar. From a fashion boutique across the Atlantic to a design pop-up and celebrated bookseller in the Big Apple, we’ve rounded up five stores that we’re looking to visit this summer.
Giorgio Armani
The celebrated Italian label opened a pop-up in East Hampton, giving residents a reason to go on an adventure—in more ways than one. Not only is the store jungle themed, but it features a special presentation of "the world of Armani," a roving exhibition of sorts that showcases the brand's La Prima collection.

Loewe
Across the Atlantic, Loewe has opened its Ibiza store and filled it with pieces that are perfect for the island, party-going atmosphere. If you're looking for an authentic Spanish shopping experience, this is the place to go.

Rizzoli
It's been five years since the iconic book publisher moved its flagship store to the Flatiron District in New York, and it looks like it is able to celebrate its anniversary with its doors open. Still, it is enacting safety measures by limiting the number of guests, installing sneeze guards at the entrance, and requiring all who enter to wear masks.

Altuzarra
When Joseph Altuzarra was deciding on a location to open a store, he looked no further than his backyard. "The Hamptons is a place I particularly cherish, because it is, in a lot of ways, where I feel the most at home," said the designer, who has a home in nearby Water Mill, in a statement. "I have fallen in love with the Hamptons' vibrant community, and its incredible farm stands, bookstores, restaurants, and I am so excited to be opening a store in a place that is so important to me."

Lateral Objects
Founded by Stefan Beckman, a reputed set designer for the biggest fashion shows, Lateral Objects is a store that brings his own vision to life. Along with pieces created by his design lab, the store offers dresses by Layla Brooklyn, decor items by Ro25, and artwork by Fabian L. Bernal.
