Harper's Bazaar Privé celebrates London Fashion Week with Emilia Wickstead
Privé members and friends gathered to honour the designer following her spring/summer 2026 show
On the Sunday of London Fashion Week, Harper’s Bazaar Privé hosted a very special dinner to celebrate the designer Emilia Wickstead following her successful spring/summer 2026 presentation.
Privé members and friends of Bazaar joined the designer and her guests in the intimate private-dining space at the iconic Covent Garden restaurant J Sheekey. Guests were greeted with trays of chilled champagne and Jo Vodka dirty martinis – which were eagerly welcomed after a busy day at the shows.
Marisa Abela arrived with her new husband, Jamie Bogyo, just a week after their wedding, at which the bride had worn a custom Emilia Wickstead gown. The couple were full of praise for the designer and her work, with Bogyo calling it “the most beautiful dress I’d ever seen”. Erin O’Connor was a vision in a very J Sheekey-appropriate red Emilia Wickstead column dress and immediately rushed to congratulate Wickstead, while the actresses Charity Wakefield and Hayley Atwell had a jovial catch-up over champagne, joined by the singer Corinne Bailey Rae.
Bazaar’s editor-in-chief Lydia Slater began proceedings with a toast to British fashion and Emilia Wickstead, before the group enjoyed a delicious feast of pan-fried Cornish scallops, wild sea bass and honeycomb ice-cream. The night came to a close just before midnight, as guests clambered into a fleet of Land Rovers ready for some much-needed sleep before another day at London Fashion Week.
