The party: Kaz James at Scorpios
The only place to be in Mykonos on a Sunday night is, without question, Scorpios, which stands proudly on its own peninsular between the bays of Kavos and Paraga. This utopian restaurant/beach club boasts a bohemian chic backdrop for the weekly residency from Greek-Italian-Aussie DJ and producer Kaz James, whose dazzling three-hour sets became the hottest ticket on the island, attracting more than 3,500 people each week. Here, glittering crowds gather under the moonlight and disco balls, dancing the night away to the most stylish house music you'll hear all summer. By day, you can also lounge on beach beds, watch spectacular sunsets and eat mind-blowingly good food – think tomahawk steak with courgettes and mint – served by impossibly charming waiters.

The restaurant: Buddha-Bar Beach, Santa Marina Mykonos
For lunch with a view visit Buddha-Bar Beach at the Santa Marina Mykonos, part of the Luxury Collection. With a sweeping panorama over hotel's private sandy beach and sparkling blue waters of the Aegean Sea beyond, this is a fabulous spot for those long, leisurely lunches which are the epitome of holiday heaven. The menu offers a wide range of Mediterranean and Greek fusion cuisine, tantalising Asian-inspired dishes, and a fantastically fresh selection from the raw bar. The beach bar: Nammos
When it comes to Mykonos' legendary beach life, there's nowhere more iconic to spend your day than Nammos. Entering this magical world on Psarou Beach, you are greeted by a vast sweep of sunloungers with turquoise and white striped parasols, frequented by a host of glamourous celebrities and socialites throughout the summer – Leonardo DiCaprio, Mariah Carey and Eva Longoria have all been spotted here. Arrive in time for a decadent lunch of fresh seafood sourced by a boat that works almost exclusively for the club, including black cod, king prawns and a huge selection of sushi, or the best cuts of Wagyu and kobe served from the beef bar. As day turns to night the music gets louder, the drinks get stronger and the party really gets started...

The spa: Kenshō Spa
At the Kenshō Spa, total relaxation is wonderfully easy to achieve. This subterranean cocoon has two treatment-rooms where expert therapists are on hand to help you rejuvenate with a refreshing body mask made of clay, cucumber and soothing products with nourish and restore skin moisture, or prepare for a day at the beach with a full-body massage. There is a hammam, nail and hair salon, and an indoor Jacuzzi built into the rocks, where the natural light pours in from an opening in the ceiling, and you can lie on the surrounding colour and light-therapy loungers for a mood-boosting snooze.
